THE DESIGN CHALLENGE
Partnering with The Christmas Cabin to create a tree base that would hold water to keep a Christmas tree’s healthy, hydrated and secure through the festive period was the challenge.
Following on from their traditional tree trunk clamp system, our approach was to look at the mechanical features of the design to devise a system that was practical and easy to install.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
The design needed to be cost effective and at an attractive price point for launching to the UK market. Manufacturing considerations were key. Rapid Prototyping to test form and function were undertaken.
The Swift base was launched at the Garden and Outdoor Living Show and continues to be a success for The Christmas Cabin.
