THE DESIGN CHALLENGE
Experts in high level vacuum cleaning equipment, SpaceVac are continuously developing and refining the performance of their innovative cleaning system. When they approached 3di Product Design Consultants, it was initially to look at ways of improving their steam head attachment, which then sparked investigation into upgrading handle design and pipe section connectors.
THE DESIGN SOLUTION
Based on the constraints of hot, wet, steam we brainstormed a number of solution’s and concepts. It was important to ensure that our solution would not be effected by the temperature or indeed the high working levels the equipment is used to reach.
All ideas were tested for strength and quality.
Manufacturing processes were considered and tested.
