Supplier of innovative permanent formwork products to the construction industry
Launching products within the civil engineering industry can be very challenging in terms of market acceptance and providing something truly innovative. Steve Willis, the companies founder had an idea that was not only new to the industry but also eligible to be patented. A headwall is a standard civil industry product that is traditionally manufactured using wooden shuttering and takes as long as 15 days to construct. The new concept would minimise the time drastically to less than 3 hours and as a result reduce cost.
We were able to turn the product concept into a working manufactured solution using the latest in 3D CAD and finite element data to maximize the product’s strength during filling. The final product was a large rotational moulding with interchangeable collars to allow various sizes of pipe to be used.
