The product design process at 3Di begins with extensive research to set the agenda and explore your vision. We develop a thorough understanding of your audience, gaining important insight into the world of your target market.
Using the information from your brief, we can then explore and evaluate various forms and generate a range of different concept ideas.
The Product Development process
Once we have a clear understanding and have put together a detailed brief, we move on to concept design. We produce hand drawn sketches which investigate form, function, colour and ergonomic interaction, creating a flow of ideas to instantly asses against one another.
There are often two elements within the concept design phase of our product design service. Firstly we provide our clients with an array of options and ideas, all with differing features, styles or functions. Then, using these as inspiration, our client will choose certain elements to explore further and refine into a design solution that will form the basis of the finished product.
The next stage of concepts are fully rendered images, which show the product as a finished item. These impressive images can be used to present to potential clients or investors, and with animation software, brought to life with movement to show assembly and all-round views.
We actively encourage the customer to review, consider and become involved with the product design process, to ensure the best possible design is achieved to meet your expectations.
