Sonobex Ltd have innovated the design and development of sonic crystal sound barriers, which are a cost effective, less intrusive noise reduction system for busy transport links and machinery.
The solution allows light and air to permeate, facilitates drainage, uses typically less than half the material of a solid barrier.
The barriers are comprised of a series of cylinders and profiles, precisely arranged to most effectively absorb the frequency of sound waves in a specific environment.
The barriers can be constructed from a wide variety of materials, without compromising performance.
Working with Sonobex, we created a range of CAD renderings and graphic boards which were used for demonstration and exhibition use. Also, we designed and supplied a demonstration unit. This comprised of a series of clear PET forms which were arranged on a removable frame to demonstrate the sound reducing effects of the barrier. Also, we engineered all metal parts to final CAD.
