10 Oct Crazy Invention of the month!
The beer tracker
Are you wondering why you’ve seen plenty of beer steins and wurst (German sausage) this month? October tends to bring out the German in us. Yes, you guessed it…this month is Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest brings us on to more important matters – drinking (responsibly).
In 2015, Oktoberfest attracted some 7,200,000 visitors. Collectively, they managed to drink their way through a staggering 7,500,000 litres of beer…That’s enough beer to fill 3 Olympic sized swimming pools!
Keeping track of how many beers you’ve consumed can be tough. Especially, taking into consideration how alcohol impairs the most basic cognitive functions – such as memory!
The issue regarding memory loss makes this month’s crazy invention a ‘must-have’ item. The beer tracker allows users to account for the number of beers they’ve guzzled over a given period.
The tracker has a very neat feature, it will stop counting once you have reached 999 beers. At 3Di, we agreed this feature is an effective way to remind users – if you have managed to reach 999 beers…it’s probably time to call 999…
If you fancy taking part in some Oktoberfest shenanigans, London is organising its very own version.
