06 Aug Crazy invention of the month!
The DIY inventor
Innovations come in many shapes, sizes and frequently enter the public domain prior to being perfected. Solutions that are ‘rough round the edges’ often lay the foundation for products that are actually found at market today.
We’ve taken a slightly different approach to this month’s crazy invention. That’s right, this month we’re celebrating the ‘DIY’ inventors who have come up with their very own ingenious ways of protecting their property against thieves…
“Tea for three?”
Everyone in the office has their own favourite mug. Here’s one very simple, cost-effective way to ensure you don’t get ‘mugged’ off!
“You can’t open Pandora’s box!”
Last year in May, we wrote about the ‘Fridge Locker.’ Since then, the methods of the cunning fridge thief have evolved, and improved. This means drastic action needs to be taken.
“I hate getting boxed in”
You may not have noticed it at first, but this theft prevention device has two layers. Firstly, the more obvious of the two: the reinforced steel plate covering this speed demon. The second is much harder to notice. If you squint, you’ll notice that the body of this car has been altered and is hiding the fact it’s a Ferrari.
Last but not least – “the ‘strap in’ saddle”
It is our understanding this ‘snappy’ anti-theft device originated in the Netherlands, which of course is quite fitting taking into consideration the copious amount of bikes nipping around their towns and cities!
