3D printing is hot news at the moment, with new and exciting developments every month.
3Di invested in a 3D printer over 4 years ago and it is an integral part of our design and development process. Having the 3D printer on site allows us to offer quick and cost-effective models from our CAD – in some cases, this can be done within 12 hours of receiving the CAD data.
The 3D printers range greatly in quality and substrate materials, but what is common to all is the need for high quality CAD data. Using 3Di will ensure the prototypes produced will be right in terms of form and function.
Our Z corp 450 3D printer produces high resolution models and in colour if required, adding an extra dimension to the quality of the prototype. We can add logos, text or matched colours to make the model more effective.
The material that our machine uses is a plaster based product, bound together to give a rigid hard matt finished model.
The 3D printing process shortens the design and development, making the process faster and more cost effective.
