Michael Lannie

POSITION: Director QUALIFICATIONS: BSc MA

Born in Edinburgh from an Italian background, Michael qualified in industrial design from Napier College and Central School of Art and Design, and spent a career as a product designer of over 20 years within the design and development of toys and games. Eventually growing up and working in the world of product design where a wider range of markets were experienced and having worked within the manufacturing industry both in the UK and Far East. He ensures that all aspects of a product’s design in terms of function, manufacture and cost are as important as the product form.

Michael is married with two beautiful daughters and a very understanding wife, he thrives on the attention of being the only man in a feminine household. He enjoys his family holidays to hot countries, chocolate, lots of tea, Earth, Wind & Fire and still finds the time to continue with his passion for his cars, and has recently purchased a 1972 Lancia! Mama Mia!!!

Product Designer Tony Wye

Tony Wye

POSITION: Director QUALIFICATIONS: BEng AMIMechE

Tony has lived and worked in Northampton, except for when he graduated in 1995 after studying Mechanical Engineering at Coventry University. All of his experience comes from within the design and manufacturing industry. Sectors covered include the Telecommunications industry, designing and developing components for Structured Cabling Systems. Tony is a highly experienced designer within Pro/Engineer Wildfire - one of the world's leading 3D CAD solid modelling packages.

Tony is married to Rachael, who is supportive of his long hours away from home at the office or the gym! He has a young son and daughter and as a family they are devoted season tickets holders of the Saints, Northampton’s Premiership rugby team. Tony and his son James, are both keen and aspiring tennis players – Wimbledon here we come!

Ben Frost

POSITION: Designer QUALIFICATIONS: BSc (Hons) Product Design

Ben is a Yorkshire lad and although moving to Northampton as a young child, he has not lost his roots and still drinks Yorkshire tea! Ben graduated from The University of Northampton in 2007 with a First Class Honours Degree in Product Design. Since he joined the team as a product designer, his talented design and rendering skills have added value to 3di’s services by offering the client fresh product design ideas & photorealistic presentations, bringing their ideas to life!

Ben is very well travelled and recently visited China, his passport also has stamps from Australia, USA and many parts of Europe. After months of dedicated training and commitment, Ben completed his first London Marathon this year in aid of Save the Rhino and plans to do more. He is an accomplished guitarist and has an interest in photography.

Janet Hunt

POSITION: Office Manager

Although Janet’s hometown is Northampton, she has lived and worked in London, Berkshire and Shropshire. Her employment background has been a PA at Board Level for major companies including Aga-Rayburn, where she has gained her organisational, administration and customer focused skills, together with her patience!

At home, there is a handsome hubby, lovable teenage twin daughters, and a cute cocker spaniel. Janet has recently completed her fourth London Moonwalk in aid of Breast Cancer, recently joined by her daughters - it really is fun pounding the streets of London in a decorated bra during the night!
